Title: Thrashing Lille: Jonathan David, Bentaleb & André Score in Thumping 3-0 Victory for Toulouse
Toulouse FC secured their first win of the season with a convincing 3-0 victory over struggling Lille on Saturday evening at the Stade de France.
The game kicked off with Jonathan David scoring the opening goal for Toulouse just three minutes into the match. The French international scored from close range and made it 1-0 after a well-taken header from a corner kick.
Bentaleb and André were also instrumental in the victory as they both added to Toulouse's tally. Bentaleb scored his second goal of the night in the 24th minute, while André finished the game with a hat-trick. Both goals came in the space of two minutes and saw Toulouse dominate possession throughout the match.
Lille struggled to find any rhythm and could only manage one shot in the entire match. However, they did manage to score a consolation goal in the 78th minute when Christian Benteke headed home a cross from Andre. This was enough to send Toulouse to the top of Group A and secure their first win of the season.
The victory means that Toulouse have now won six out of their last seven matches, which has been a testament to their recent form. The win against Lille is certainly a step towards improving their chances of reaching the Champions League next season.
